DAMSTIF3™ Aluminum Enclosure

The LYNX enclosure uses a single, massive 185 lb. aluminum casting with internal stiffening ribs and 85 lb. of sequentially poured visco-elastic damping material bonded directly to its interior surfaces. With no enclosure joinery or fasteners, this construction is designed to suppress cabinet resonance so fine musical details can emerge against a quieter background.

Three-Way Driver Complement

• Woofer: Custom 10-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone
• Midrange: 6-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone
• Tweeter: 1-inch waveguide-loaded beryllium dome

The precision diamond-machined, anodized tweeter waveguide improves acoustic impedance matching and controls dispersion through the midrange-to-tweeter transition. Its design supports reduced distortion and dynamic expression.

Isolated Crossover & Individual Calibration

The crossover network occupies its own acoustically isolated enclosure within the base. Each unit is individually calibrated by Rockport founder and Director of Technology Andrew Payor.
