The LYNX is the result of two years of exhaustive development and nearly 35 years of state-of-the-art loudspeaker research. Designed around Rockport’s celebrated form follows function philosophy, it delivers the full-range grandeur and musical scale of a flagship loudspeaker from a surprisingly compact, domestically friendly enclosure.

Our in-stock unit has been customized to accept bi-amp and bi-wire cables — ready for the most demanding reference systems. Winner of the 2025 Golden Ear Award by The Absolute Sound.

Technology

DAMSTIF3™ Enclosure

At the heart of the LYNX is Rockport’s all-new DAMSTIF3™ enclosure — a single, massive aluminum casting weighing 185 lbs., with internal stiffening ribs and 85 lbs. of sequentially poured visco-elastic damping material bonded directly to the interior surfaces. The result is a virtually resonance-free enclosure with no joinery, no fasteners, and an exceptionally low noise floor — technology trickling down directly from Rockport’s flagship LYRA.

Driver Complement

• Woofer: Custom 10-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone
• Midrange: 6-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone
• Tweeter: 1-inch waveguide-loaded beryllium dome

The precision diamond-machined and anodized waveguide improves acoustic impedance matching, reduces distortion, expands dynamic expression, and ensures seamless dispersion at the midrange-to-tweeter transition.

Crossover & Calibration

The crossover network is housed in its own acoustically isolated enclosure within the base. Each unit is individually calibrated by Rockport’s founder and Director of Technology, Andrew Payor.
