The AudioQuest NRG Tornado Source is a premium 2-meter AC power cable engineered specifically for low-to-moderate current source components — DACs, preamplifiers, CD/SACD players, streamers, turntables, and phono stages.

Part of AudioQuest's acclaimed Storm Series, the Tornado Source addresses the real-world problem of AC power: utility-source noise compounded by RF interference picked up by power cords and coupled into component power supplies and circuit grounds. The result without proper treatment is distortion through the masking effect — a veiling of detail, dynamics, and musical truth.

• Ground Noise-Dissipation Technology
  AC ground wires act as antennas, picking up RF interference that bypasses power supplies and couples directly into sensitive audio circuits. AudioQuest's patented system uses a common-mode phase-cancelling array with proprietary dielectric materials to dramatically reduce RF distortion across the widest possible bandwidth.

• 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with RF Trap
  Insulation between conductors absorbs and releases energy non-linearly, causing phase shift and time-smear. The 72V DBS saturates the dielectric to eliminate this distortion. The integrated RF Trap prevents radio frequency noise from being induced into signal conductors from the DBS field elements.

• Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) + PSC+ Conductors
  Solid PSC and extreme-purity PSC+ conductors prevent strand interaction — a major source of transient intermodulation distortion. The ultra-smooth surface eliminates harshness and increases clarity compared to OFHC, OCC, and other premium coppers.

• Directionally Controlled Conductors
