AudioQuest Redwood 10ft Reference Speaker Cable — Single SBW with M-Spades
Redwood stands as a giant among its peers. This 10ft single SBW cable with M-spades combines Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors in a Self-Shielding Counter-Spiral HyperLitz geometry. The result is a sound field that is both expansive and coherent — with exceptional ease and resolution.

PSC+/PSS Conductors
Solid conductors prevent strand interaction — the greatest single source of distortion in an audio cable. The astonishingly smooth Perfect-Surface eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity compared to OFHC, OCC, 8N, and other coppers. Extremely high-purity PSS further minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries.
Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System (Insulation)
Negative conductors are insulated with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene, damping RF garbage from being fed back into the amplifier. Positive conductors use Nitrogen-Injected Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation — low-loss, with a benign distortion profile and minimal out-of-focus effect.
Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) — US Pat #s 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1
DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field that saturates and polarizes the insulation molecules, minimizing energy storage and nonlinear time-delays. Sound appears from a surprisingly black background with unexpected detail and dynamic contrast. Battery packs last for years; a test button and LED allow occasional battery checks.
Double Counter-Spiral Geometry
An inner circular array of positive conductors spirals in one direction; negative conductors spiral in the opposite direction around them. The fixed, non-changing relationship between groups delivers astonishing clarity — like focusing a camera lens you didn't know was out of focus.
Spread-Spectrum Technology (SST)
SST uses a precise combination of different-size conductors to significantly reduce the audibility of conductor character flaws, delivering an exceptionally clear, clean, and dynamic sound.
Bi-Wiring
Redwood's five conductors per polarity can be divided into two groups, allowing Single BiWire configuration with four connections on the speaker end — keeping bass energy out of the treble path for considerably reduced distortion.
Terminations
This unit is terminated with M-Spades on the speaker end. AudioQuest's PK-spade lugs are plated directly over the connector in gold or silver — no harsh nickel layer underneath — for a higher-quality, lower-distortion connection.
Application
Metal breakouts on either end are marked Speaker End and Amp End. Please use cables in the direction indicated for optimal performance.
