The heart of the D1.5 is CH Precision's proprietary MORSe mechanism — Mechanically Optimized Reading System. Designed entirely by CH Precision to extract the maximum possible performance from SACD, CD, and MQA discs.

At the center of MORSe is a nearly one-kilogram brass sled carrying the optical pickup and motor, suspended on a finely tuned α-gel damping system to isolate the mechanism from vibration, then secured inside a massive billet-aluminum frame — creating a remarkably stable platform for precise disc tracking.

A more stable reading system allows the laser to track with greater accuracy. Greater tracking accuracy reduces the need for error correction. Lower mechanical noise preserves timing integrity at the very beginning of the playback chain. The result: music with more natural flow, greater resolution, finer dynamic shading, and a more convincing sense of space.
